I'm a professor, researcher, creative thinker and facilitator in the field of recreation and leisure management and community development. I'm a passionate advocate for recreation, blending theory with creative community development approaches to help community practice redesign and reimagine recreation and leisure experiences. Born and raised on a farm in rural Saskatchewan, I developed a strong appreciation and interest in community development, particularly leisure's role in creating resilient individuals and communities. My work has taken me across Canada, working and researching on the East Coast, West Coast and the Prairies. I'm currently an assistant professor in the Recreation and Sport Studies program in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick.
